88 FILMS STILL SLICING UP THE MARKET!

When I last reported on the UK based label, 88 Films, they
were taking on all corners and dishing out money shots in
release after release of genre classics and not so classic,
but fun flicks.
Recently they have popped out the crazy late '80s trash
fest, Luther the Geek (a personal fave of mine) and
Pigs, along with Eliminators, The Creeps
and Delirium. All these BR and DVD releases
arrive with freshly painted covers, plus interviews (Luther)
and behind the scenes (The Creeps).
It's all good and meaty. So let's see what's coming soon,
boys, girls and creatures...
Jeff Lieberman's Just Before Dawn is arriving and it
includes an optional extended overseas print, along with a
cool documentary called Grindhouse Allstars. Lord knows what
to make of Asian fright-fest, Bewitched. Monk vs evil
spirit. It appears more like a comedy. Either way, it's out
early October. Finally, late October brings us, Watch Me
When I Kill by Antonio Bido. Okay, I think Shameless
flooded the shelves with this one two years ago, or so, but
extras here include two short films by the director.
88 Films have slowed down recently, but here in the UK, you
cannot enter an HMV or a CEX without spotting at least a
handful of their extensive past catalogue of Blu-Rays.
