Severed Cinema News: A Creepy Clown in Shellmont

The horror genre simply cannot have enough creepy clowns. Like zombies and other masked killers, clowns can pop up anywhere. People fear clowns, so the horror world feeds off fear and the wetting of pants.

Thus comes Shellmont, by director and writer, Gus Trapani (Absolute Zero, Bad Vs Worse) who is one of those indie Jack-of-all-trades and he covers just about everything in his productions.

It's a masked maniac (a clown faced one) shaking up a small town, so the local sheriff needs to serve and protect the citizens. Sounds average? Well, yes, if this was the synopsis of a huge budget movie. However, we all know that indie flicks tend to push the envelope with even the simplest of stories.

Currently in pre-production which could mean it's half a year away, to many years away -- it's been a while in the making of this nasty 'lil devil. Meanwhile, have a look around the web, there's some juicy photographs around showing what sickness shall exist in this clown chiller. And there's a really messed up teaser trailer which begins normal and then plunges into head-fuck zone at the conclusion...

Here's the Facebook page to check for updates:

Bring on the clowns, you crazy man!!!!
