The Dead 2: India Poster on Severed Cinema

One of my personal favorite zombie movies in the last few years, The Dead, is getting a sequel on September 16th. The Dead 2: India, has a similar story to the original in which a lone survivor must travel the land for miles to reach salvation (with his pregnant girlfriend in this one). Instead of Africa we have India.

As long as the zombies are so much like Fulci's Zombie Flesh Eaters slow moving creatures as they were in the first then I'm all for it. It's got the Ford brothers helming again so that's a plus point.

The film follows the story of India-based American engineer Nicholas Burton (JOSEPH MILLSON) in a race against time to reach his pregnant girlfriend Ishani Sharma (MEENU). Burton enlists the help of an orphan street kid Javed (ANAND GOYAL) and together they make a perilous 300 mile journey across deadly landscapes as a zombie apocalypse threatens to engulf the entire nation.

The Dead 2 was completed back in 2013 and main star Millson has also appeared in 24: Live Another Day and UK things such as Devil's Bridge.

What will be interesting is the extras. In The Dead the zombies were missing limbs and were diseased because sometimes the extras were missing limbs or diseased and were happy to stumble about creepily. This fact made the movie wilder. Let's hope The Dead 2: India carries on that trend, as sick as that makes me sound. He he he.
