TWIN PEAKS FOR A NEW GENERATION

Twin Peaks Returning in 2016 on Severed Cinema

Nope, it's apparently not going to be a remake or a reboot, but in 2016, approximately nine new episodes of David Lynch's TV defining series are to be created by Lynch and Mark Frost. Set decades after the original's conclusion which left many people scratching their heads as David Lynch probably said: “Come on, you know me, what did you expect?”

Tweets and quotes state that some “old faces” will be returning and the passage of 25 years is very important to this chapter in the saga. Apparently Showtime will be rerunning all of the original episodes from both original series leading up to this new installment.

Incidently, in late 2015, a novel will appear which will bridge the gap between episodes. Written by Mark Frost it shall explain what has happened to each character since we saw Agent Cooper headbutt the mirror.
