Severed Cinema News: Return to Nuke 'Em High Volume 2 to Celebrate Troma's Long Life!

I'm a bit late reporting this, but I was thrilled to see it pop up a few days ago. Yes, Lloyd and his crazy gang of hoodlums, Troma, are celebrating four decades of existence with the closing chapter of Class of Nuke 'Em High – Return to Nuke 'Em High Volume 2.

Love or hate them, they aren't going away. Probably bagging more misses than hits, and helping out many filmmakers along the way, Troma is one of a kind – so are the films they make. In recent years, Poutrygeist, Terror Firmer, and the like can make people cringe or leap around, but back in 2013, volume I of this rebirth was so over-the-top it was wonderful. Return to Nuke 'Em High Volume 1 brought back some of my faith in Troma because I had never seen anything like it.

Volume II continues from the original instalment: our hero girl couple have to battle mutants, cretins, and more, with the help of Kevin the Wonder Duck. This has more genre faces to point out and say, “Oh look, it's...” like Debbie Rochon, Lemmy (of course) Lloyd himself (of course, vol II) and Stan Lee's voice!!

Anyway, this monsterpiece of trash is having a big screen showing and a huge Q&A – basically a huge party. So if you happen to be nearby Arch Street in Philly, mid-March, there's a ticket link below. Meanwhile, the movie is having other showings in North Hollywood and Bev Hills around March time.

Tickets are available now at Ticketfly.
