DETROIT RISING: JIM VAN BEBBER'S RETURN TO CATCH EVERYONE'S EYES

Jim Van Bebber, the cult low budget icon behind Deadbeat at Dawn, The Manson Family and many more is returning soon with a meaty acting role in the upcoming Detroit Rising.

It's the tale of a battle worn, shell-shocked guy returning from the war in Iraq to Detroit and discovers a very different America.

Jim Van Bebber is no stranger to acting, being the main character in Deadbeat at Dawn, his own classic short, My Sweet Satan, and roles in underground beasts like The Mutilation Man, Zombie Cult Massacre and The Cuckoo Clocks of Hell. In fact his short movie in 2013, Gator Green, had the man himself in the central role. Vanity projects? Naah, Jim Van Bebber is just cool.

Detroit Rising is currently filming and there is no news of a release date as of yet. Apparently, members of the Suicide Girls are to feature in a vision of the war or something. At least ten of fifteen of the girls are to appear. Also the movie stars Steve Biro, the fella behind Unearthed Films, and Sophia Disgrace who has had a career in underground films since 2009.

The director, Thomas Eikrem, has produced, directed and written a mass of cult movies such as Retreat, Orgasmo 14, and Le Accelerator.

Here's a link to the website though it's just basic for now.
