THIS ONE'S A BASTARD!

Seriously, it's a Bastard! Bastard is the title of this indie movie. Okay, I've overplayed the rather sad childish humor I'm unfortunately cursed with, so let's move on with the plotline.

BASTARD follows newlywed, hitch-hiking serial killers, a brother and sister on the run, and a suicidal, alcoholic cop as they get caught in an increasingly bizarre series of murders committed by a masked killer near a mountain-town bed and breakfast.

Co-directed by Powell Robinson and Patrick Young (Mr. Young also scripted it) it's apparently a retro slice-‘em-up flick which takes itself seriously as a comparison to the late 70's and early 80's madness. It has all real effects (I mean they aren't CGI) and a throwback musical score by Kyle Hnedak.

Starring such names as Scott Vance who has been on screens since the late 80's, appearing in The X-Files, Alias, 24, etc, Tonya Kay (Video Game Reunion, Fully Loaded, Raze, The Mudman) and Rebekah Kennedy who appeared in Season of the Witch, Wuss and Succubus. No real big names, but so what? Rarely did the golden age of gory kill-‘em-all movies have big names -- they had people due to become big names. Talent begins everywhere and people fill scripts the way they are needed to.

Both directors have directed a couple of shorts and this is their first biggie. Have a browse on their Facebook page for updates. Looks fun.
