Victor Frankenstein Coming Later This Year Print E-mail

Just a quick report on Daniel Radcliffe's upcoming turn in Victor Frankenstein as Igor. It's nice to see Mr. Radcliffe moving further and further away from his infamous character and really giving it a good go in films such as Woman in Black and Horns, so this movie, which is due out in the autumn, should be fairly decent depending the rating it is aiming for.

Director Paul McGuigan previously worked on Irvine Welsh's The Acid House, along with Gangster No. 1 and some episodes of BBC series Sherlock. It also stars James (the youthful Charles Xavier, Filth, Welcome to the Punch) McAvoy as Frankenstein and Mark Gatiss who is famous for roles in Sherlock, Game of Thrones, Doctor Who, Clone, Psychoville and many more -- of course he's a decent writer as well.

The synopsis goes like this: Told from Igor's perspective, we see the troubled young assistant's dark origins, his redemptive friendship with the young medical student Viktor Von Frankenstein, and become eyewitnesses to the emergence of how Frankenstein became the man - and the legend - we know today.

As stated, Victor Frankenstein is due to pop out later this year, around October.
