When you think of Switzerland, the first thing that comes to mind is skiing, cheese, the Swiss Alps and beautiful scenery. The last thing you think of is brutal indie snuff style horror. Juval Marlon intends to change that. Marlon’s first couple of shorts prove that you don't need much time when you have material that bludgeons you over the head repeatedly with sheer rapid disgust.

The first short Torture Fetish features a couple of sick fucks following a beautiful female victim-to-be, through the streets. Eventually the two discover she is meeting a male friend and instead of throwing in the towel they decide to make him part of their snuff video too. We also get some of their other kills, including an aftermath video of a young girl who was a victim.

Torture Fetish is shot "snuff style" and by that I mean from the point-of-view of the camera, as the killer holding it stalks his prey until he interacts with them by torturing them and eventually killing them. Torture Fetish is simple, short and very effective in its delivery and approved by the interrogators at Guantanamo Bay.

Marlon's other short comes in at an even shorter time of just over 5 minutes and offers up a supremely sick scenario. Filmed in black and white, Dead Baby Mutilation has the similar feel of The GrindHouse Family Filmworks snuff tape entry, Dead Baby Fast Food and one of the early entries in that same series. We can clearly see the baby corpse used is a doll, but this doesn't take away from the disturbing content featured. A man horribly mutilates a baby in a slow and agonizing fashion by cutting it into bloody chunks while in a drug enraged state of mind.

Marlon is definitely new to the game and has a way to go but he is on the right track. Let’s hope he keeps up his craft and builds on his short films, growing them into a bigger monster. That being said, I enjoyed both shorts and am looking forward to more from Marlon in the future. Torture Fetish and Dead Baby Mutilation are cool shorts and you can purchase Torture Fetish from Caps Collective Entertainment or Juval Marlon himself, who is easily accessible through Facebook. Put a little snuff movie love into your life.
