Psychological Animated Horror Film Erotomaniac in Production!
Severed Cinema first reported on Erotomaniac, the summer of 2021 (here) and a lot has changed since then. Erotomaniac has since turned into an animated feature film.
Erotomaniac is not an erotic movie or ’80s throwback — it’s a psychological horror film in the vein of Misery, Play Misty for Me, Swim Fan, and Fatal Attraction. It separates itself separates itself from those films by being more surreal and bizarre, and by going to further depths of darkness and depravity.
The film is written, directed, and is currently being animated by Sam Salerno, the writer and director of The Dark Side of the Womb (review here), and Death by 1000 Cuts (review here). It features iconic actors Ari Lehman and Cristina Vee.
The film is expected to be released in late 2022 or early 2023.
