Bazz Hancher is Bringing Us More Depraved UK Nasties with Axel Falcon!
Bazz Hancher, that UK based nutter who makes films like Hate Little Rabbit (see review here) has proven to be a man of bad taste and vile humour. I love it.
Not one to slack off, Bazz Hancher is currently putting together a new little epic, Axel Falcon. Described as a cross between A Clockwork Orange and Turbo Kid, the synopsis goes a little bit like this:
Axel Falcon is an incorruptible renegade cop, his mission is to take down the criminal empire headed by Davro, the man responsible for his family’s death. However, to get to Davro, he needs to destroy Davro’s army of mutants, half-breeds and outcasts. “He has the right to remain violent!”
Whether Davro is indeed from Skaro and is still hanging out with Daleks remains to be seen (okay, poor joke, but y’know, needed to be written) either way, shooting begins in March. There’s been some test shots (pics below) and the cast is cool, including Tom Lee Rutter (Hate Little Rabbit, Day of the Stranger), William Stafford (A Pocket Full of Superstitions, Mr. Blades), Adam Woodhouse (White Goods) — there’s also planned small roles for myself, Jay Creepy (Beyond Fury, House of Flesh Mannequins) plus my lady and partner in gore, Willow Brian (Haunted, Pigman and the Rabbit).
Axel Falcon will be a re-imagined version of SN Sibley’s A Home for Bullets, with a chunk of cheese and loads of blood. This is going to be a thrill ride, believe me. “He has the right to remain violent!”
