Darren Ward’s Fury Trilogy Will be Making a Huge Impact Soon!
The UK Godfather of gory crime epics, Darren Ward, will be enjoying a surge of viewers soon as his trilogy of splatter fests, Sudden Fury (see review here), A Day of Violence (see review here), and Beyond Fury (see review here) are due for release in various countries – having already found a nice home in the USA courtesy of Darkside Releasing.
The Italian release (via SpasmoBunny) of the trilogy showcase uncut prints with a gaggle of new extras. The German variation of Beyond Fury has two scenes trimmed for pacing reasons (the gore and brutality is still intact) plus an additional piece of dialogue, and tiny “fixes” to some FX scenes. CineStrange Extreme are handling the release for Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.
If you haven’t seen any of these powerhouse UK bullet ballets, try and catch ‘em (Sudden Fury and A Day of Violence have been put out before and are on Amazon, etcetera but won’t be as crystal as these ones). You’ll enjoy seeing genre giants like the late David Warbeck, Giovanni Lombardo Radice, and Dan Von Husen, alongside Gary Baxter, Tony Mardon, Dani Thompson, Chris Barfoot, and of course Nick Roberts/ Nick Rendell as our central character. Yes, yes, I will mention again (and why not) that in Beyond Fury there’s a very cold and nasty killer by the name of Milsom played by some actor called Jay Creepy… I’m sure I’ve heard that name before.
The Italian beasts are due out later this month, whilst CineStrange blast the shit out of everybody in 2022.
