Domiziano Cristopharo to Bring you Horror Island Festival!
Imagine a horror festival set on an island. I can almost see Bruce Lee prowling around whilst John Saxon in his polo neck jumper and Jim Kelly look on whilst enjoying the lifestyle.
Severed Cinema poster boy, Domiziano Cristopharo (no need to explain who he is by now surely) and writer/actor, Daniele Arturi of The House Guest (see review here) have each combined sick minds to concoct a celebration devoted to the art of shocking extreme underground cinema.
Horror Island Festival is a chance for any budding aggressive hungry movie maker to show and prove, send a film, whether it be 60-minutes or more in length, a short film or a trailer. There’s a cost to submitting flicks, but trailers are FOC.
Once the festival is underway (estimated but of course could change as 27th August 2021) a panel of judges will decide and the best director, actor, feature, etcetera shall be given. So, who’s the panel of folks that shall judge?
Screenwriter Andrea Cavaletto, screenwriter and producer Nicola Vitale Materi, and golden age of Italian horror actress, Mirella D’Angelo.
Anyway, here’s a link to the FilmFreeway page which explains a lot more in-depth including the deadlines, what is required, and so on: https://filmfreeway.com/HorrorIsland
The island in question for Horror Island Festival resides in Spain, Gran Canaria – boasting jaw-dropping and breath-taking landscapes and beaches.
