Gore Maestro Olaf Ittenbach Returns with Levizia!
Olaf Ittenbach, a legend among gore aficionados around the world. Whether he is directing or waving around his wand conducting his symphony of intricate and masterful practical effects work. After a hiatus Ittenbach is back in the director’s chair ready to wreck such beautiful orchestrated havoc once again with but he needs your help!
Personally I cut my teeth on German underground gore films in the ’90s with Olaf Ittenbach’s SOV The Burning Moon. Ittenbach and Andreas Schnass (Violent Shit, Zombie 90: Extreme Pestilence) opened my mind to a whole new world of low budget gore craziness and I would never be the same. I remember the first time I witnessed the trailer for The Burning Moon on a Dead Alive Productions VHS tape, I had to see this!!!! Morbid fascination took over and thus never subsided to this day! The relentless gore, banned in different countries, it was my mission to see it!
After countless films Olaf Ittenbach is at the helm of a new ambitious independent production titled Levizia. Set during World War 1 the trailer has officially dropped and it looks magnificent:
Levizia will be made regardless, it’s 90 percent completed. Ittenbach and long time gore fan/supporter and producer Thomas Heigl need funds (30,000 euros exactly) to create an epic WW1 final battle scene that will be the epitome of anything ever done in this style of an independent indiegogo funded film. Hats off to The Garden of Gore team (Backwoods films series, Born Dead) and Simon Spachmann for using their talented effects team for Levizia as well, big fan of their work!
Please support financially or in any way possible even by just spreading the word. We know times are tough but anything and everything helps. Take care and goriest wishes to all the gore fans and freaks out there.
