Greg Deliso is Going to Have a Bad Brain!
Greg DeLiso is the absolute genius who formulated that awesome flick, Hectic Knife (see review here) from 2017. For those who don’t know about it, check out the review and buy it from Uncle Lloyd at Troma — it’s worth it.
Bad Brain, Gregs next slice of madness, begins shooting this June, and stars Whitney Moore of Birdemic, Bill Weeden from Sgt. Kabukiman NYPD, Kansas Bowling (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) and many more cult names – not to forget, Matthew, Greg’s dog.
Bad Brain was born from the ashes of grief and misery. After the tragic passing of his wife in 2019, director Greg DeLiso’s life was exploded into the abyss of suicidal depression. BAD BRAIN is an exercising of that grief and truly a “for us/by us” film about mental illness and loss. It is Greg’s life preserver to those that struggle with PTSD.
The synopsis goes a lil something like this:
“When a bad brain slips into our reality from an alternate dimension all hell breaks loose! A stranded teen and her Lassie-esque fur child, Matthew hitchhike their way to L.A. The Big Salad, an Elaine Benes-themed punk band fronted by the narcissistic time bomb, Boston Riboflavin. An Ace Ventura look alike, serial killer all populate this quirky, hilariously terrifying, genre-bending, mind melt”
Currently there’s an Indie-GoGo campaign running which offers a few nice delights to those folks who like to chuck a bit of money about to earn themselves a place in the history of films they like the sound of.
Meanwhile here’s a link to the interview Greg did with me back in 2018 which shows what a great chap he is:
