Ho-Ho-How Much is Coming from Shout! Factory this December?
Well, to be honest, not much. It’s a bit sparse for the ol’ horror and stuff this time ‘round.
Shout! Factory have a couple of noticeable upcoming releases, one being Trog starring Joan Crawford. Region A on Blu-ray so if you’re not from North America and haven’t got a multi-region BR player, I’ve seen ’em on Amazon. There’s also the erotic but somehow prudish later Hammer creation, The Vampire Lovers, which comes with a free poster. The Vampire Lovers has a load of extras, commentaries, interviews, mini-documentaries, and an introduction by Madeline Smith who I’ve met incidentally, and she wrapped her arms around me, making me blush. Fantastic lady.
A more christmassy flavour comes our way with Krampus: The Naughty Cut which restores apparently key dialogue and scenes, plus endless amounts of interviews, commentaries, gag scenes, on and on. Ho-Ho-Hoooooooo.
Whilst we’re on with Shout! Factory, January arrives soon, and they are lobbing a few out like The Awakener, based on Luciano Cunha’s comic book, and suspense chiller, Whispers in the Dark. All Region A Blu-rays, by the way.
