Indie Horror Workhorse Shawn C. Phillips Brings the Desert Fiends to Life on IndieGoGo!

Shawn C. Phillips (Cheer Bloody Murder, Amityville Karen) has raised his crazy head up on IndieGoGo with his latest project, Desert Fiends.

A contribution of various sizes gets you anything from a t-shirt to a Blu-ray, signed stuff, producer credit, that kind of thing. Shawn is a workhorse when it comes to movies, aside from directing, he’s appeared in over 260 movies, for example, Witch Trials, Clown Motel 2, Zombie Babies, Atom the Amazing Zombie Killer, all these plus multiple more you’ve likely never heard of. Wow, it’s a huge world inside the murky waters of the film ocean.

According to IMDb (if this is still up to date) he’s bagged Eric Roberts, Eileen Dietz, Robert LaSardo and others so, assuming they’re probably doing the ol’ Tony Todd, Sid Haig (R.I.P.) route of blink & miss ’em appearances, it’ll still be a lot of fun.

The Synopsis:

Desert Fiends follows a group of six friends who are going to a mysterious concert out in the middle of the desert. The group of friends break down in the middle of nowhere on the way and come across the Desert fiends. The desert fiends are a deranged family living in the desert killing anyone they come across.

Shawn says the flick is planned to be something like, “…The Hills Have Eyes as well as the Wrong Turn series.” but he promises oodles of practical effects which makes me smile.
