Mondo Macabro May Madness!
Two nice Blu-ray releases are popping out of the cannon of Mondo Macabro this May to keep us all entertained whilst in our houses. First we have Umberto Lenzi’s stylish hippy giallo crime caper, An Ideal Place to Kill, starring the late Ray Lovelock. Arriving with an interview, commentaries and deleted scenes.
Also, the absolutely classic sleazy little Mexican ditty, Satanico Pandemonium, arrives on Blu-ray and sports commentaries and a Nunsploitation featurette. This is a little gem I remember seeing on a crusty old tape years ago in its original language and no subs. Looking forwards to this.
Unfortunately for those beyond the region coding of A, it’s a bit disappointing. They don’t have the old double DVD combination which many labels release, but rest assured, if you’re willing to spend some mega big rip-off bucks, Satanico Pandemonium has been out on DVD a while, whilst An Ideal Place to Kill is a bit cheaper to obtain on Shameless under the title, Oasis of Fear.
