The Witches of the Sands – A New Short Coming Soon!

You know you have something special coming up on your shores (the UK) when you check the cast of a short film called The Witches of the Sands by newbie director, Tony Mardon. He may be a newbie to directing, but Tony has acted in a fair few movies ‘n’ TV series such as Beyond Fury (see review for Beyond Fury here), The Tunnel, Eastenders, and more so he’s likely picked up a few tips and bits along the way.

The cast though… names such as Dani (Clownface, Beyond Fury) Thompson, Michael (Rise of the Footsoldier II, Death Walks, We Still Steal the Old Way, Tomb Raider) Chapman, and himself. However it’s the small little appearances in what promises to be an epic end credits montage that really amps up this project – Shawn (the Camp Blood series, Grave Encounters 2, Faces of the Dead) C. Philips, Eileen (Halloween 2, The Exorcist, Creepshow 3) Dietz, Brandon (The Wonder Years, It Chapter 2, It – the old TV series) Crane, Giovanni (oh come on, you know who he is – Cannibal Ferox, The Omen remake, Beyond Fury) Lombardo Radice, and some bloke called Jay Creepy (Beyond Fury, You Choose! – see review here  –  Monster), amongst many others.

I asked Tony to give us a quick synopsis and tease us a bit….

“It’s a ghost hunter meets monsters meets folk horror film. All the things I love. I’m really hoping horror fans enjoy it. It’s also very funny and features a few well known faces.
Ghost hunter Fischer Markway is enticed to Whitstable…But Why?”
