Torsofuck: Postpartum Exstasy Album Review!
Torsofuck Music Review:
Finland’s brutal death/porno grind heroes, Torsofuck, are back after 19-years with a new slab of perversion for scat grind freaks to lube up their greasy knobs to. 2004’s Erotic Diarrhea Fantasy left a huge impression for such a brutal and graphic album dealing with its deplorable type of subject matter.
YouTube videos surfaced particularly for the song Raped by Elephants. The song used samples from the Tom Green film Freddy Got Fingered particularly one absurd scene in the film involving a massive ejaculation by an elephant. There were also videos surfacing on YouTube featuring humorous lyric readings from songs off the album and even a cover version of one of the bands songs performed with a cello.
The band likes to use numerous movie samples in their songs and Postpartum Exstasy is no different. I’d like to nail down all the samples, but I’ve only figured out a couple so far. The opener Necropervert features a sample of a guy getting off and the sound of church hymns in the background while moaning and doing the deed. I only know one sample for certain on the title track Postpartum Exstasy which is taken from the film Dr. Jekyll’s Dungeon of Death. If anyone out there can figure out where the samples come from contact me or leave a reply. The whole album is filled with various disturbing samples from movies, and they make up most of the songs by being used as overly long intros. The band must have taken a page out of the Mortician playbook.
The music is tighter than ever, but I’m surprised it sounds like they went with a drum machine again like on Erotic Diarrhea Fantasy. On tour the band use a human drummer but, on this release, it definitely sounds like programmed drums. The drums still sound good on this for programmed and the release in general has gotten a great sounding production.
The vocals gurgle nicely over crushing riffs and songs like The Pig are great mid-paced tunes that chug along. The song titles are what you’ve come to expect from Torsofuck. Titles like Retarded Anal Whore, Amputated Tits, and Molested with Festering Stump.
Torsofuck are back to pulverize like no other with 9 tracks of grinding/punishing gore and sexual sickness. Postpartum Exstasy is unflinching blasting porno grind insanity rammed down your throat. It’s definitely a contender for one of the strongest gore/porno grind releases of the year.
