Unearthed Films has cracked open the vault and dragged out one of Toetag’s most grotesque nightmares, Maskhead (2009), finally unleashed on Blu-ray for the very first time. This release is absolutely packed with extras that fans of Fred Vogel and Scott Swan’s brand of ultra-violence will devour.
From the depraved minds of Vogel (August Underground) and Swan (Cigarette Burns), Maskhead tells the sordid tale of Syl and Maddie, lesbian filmmakers who specialize in fetish videos with a terminal twist. Their “leading man” is the hulking, deformed, bandaged brute known only as Maskhead. Each production ends in torture and murder — a snuff fantasy made flesh. With their psychopathic associate “The Cowboy” riding alongside, the blood flows freely, and the death toll mounts with each new production.
A Return to the Underground
Maskhead was always an oddity in the Toetag catalog, a grimy mix of fetish film aesthetics and splatter cinema that polarized audiences back in 2009. Now, in 2025, Unearthed Films resurrects it in a definitive edition, loaded with hours of archival and brand-new content.
