Video Shop Tales of Terror Meets Jay Creepy’s Perdita!
Severed Cinema’s resident writer Jay Creepy and his partner Willow Brian recently completed their first foray into filmmaking with their short film Reaper’s World (review coming soon). The duo’s second short movie project, Perdita, has just been filmed and it’s a fake trailer for the upcoming anthology film, Video Shop Tales of Terror II: Lust & Revenge. Here’s the scoop:
Perdita takes the revenge route, with Jay writing and directing, whilst Willow (usually on special effects), this time is performing the soundtrack and also taking on camera duties alongside Jay’s son, Jack.
Perdita (Lily Cooke) has been murdered. Accidentally it turns out, by a gang of mercenaries. At the same time a group of demons happen to be on the hunt for corrupted souls so force Perdita to seek revenge on her slayers. Her friend is possessed by the demons and used as an instrument of death as the mercenaries are slaughtered one by one.
All Perdita wants is to be left alone in peace. Yet she is powerless against the creatures who lust after blood and gore…
The trailer, once complied, will run at around 2-minutes in length. One day, Jay and Willow plan to adapt it (with the same cast – a group of regular oddballs) into either a 20-minute segment or a one-hour long feature.
Video Shop Tales of Terror II: Lust & Revenge should be out at the end of the year or the beginning of 2024. It also features fresh and wild material from Alexander Churchyard (I Scream on the Beach), Richard Rowntree (Mask of the Devil) and so far, stars UK workhorses, Tony Mardon, Martin W. Payne, and Dani Thompson.
